CAfS recommends doing a tariff comparison every six months or so.
That’s because the range of tariffs is constantly changing. If you’ve been on the same one for a while, there’s likely to be a cheaper tariff available now.
And if you are switching away from a company’s Default Tariff to a cheaper deal a typical household could save up to £305 per year according to Ofgem (Feb 2020).
