Last updated: Thursday 3 June 2020

Due to the current Coronavirus restrictions, we’ve changed the way we’re delivering some of our projects and services.

While we’re not able to run our usual wide range of in-person activities and events, we are now offering some services in other ways, including our Cold to Cosy Homes advice service. There’s more information about this below.

We are still operating with reduced staffing, but the majority of our team have now returned from furlough. We’re working behind the scenes to offer more of our projects and services online, and to make sure we’re ready to restart other work when we can do so safely.

Here are some updates about our main services and activities:

CAfS events

All of our events have been cancelled. If you had booked a place, you should have received an email from us, with details on what this means for fees paid and CPD certification for our training courses. If you haven’t heard from us, please email [email protected]

Cold to Cosy Homes Cumbria

Although we can’t offer our usual home visits at the moment, we are offering telephone advice calls. We are also looking at ways to offer virtual home visits, and we’ll keep you updated here and on our social media about that. We will resume in-person visits as soon as it is appropriate to do so. You can book for a future home visit now, via our website, using the link below. In the meantime, please do call us and take advantage of our telephone advice service.

Staffing & contact

We are continuing to operate with reduced staffing, although the majority of our team have now returned from furlough to focus on specific tasks. We’ll continue to keep our staffing under review. Our office in Penrith is closed. Due to our reduced capacity, we’re prioritising urgent or business-critical enquiries. Please email [email protected], with ‘Urgent’ in the subject line.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and we hope to re-run any cancelled events again when the Coronavirus restrictions are lifted, or if we find an alternative way to deliver them that doesn’t compromise quality.
We thank all our customers and supporters for their patience and understanding during these uncertain times.
