We work across Cumbria┬áto enable individuals, communities, businesses and local authorities to reduce the county’s carbon footprint and bring about a more sustainable way of life here.

We manage and deliver:

  • training
  • practical projects
  • specialist consultancy services

How we’re run

CAfS is a registered charity and a company.

We are a team of 14 part-time staff, led by our board of 7 trustees and 1 patron.

CAfS receives no government or other unrestricted statutory funding. Our sole income is from:

  • grants & contracts
  • providing services like training, energy audits, thermal imaging
  • donations
