Community Climate Grants - decision making session

Chaired by CAfS' CEO, Karen Mitchell, this event will comprise of a series of presentations from Cumbrian organisations which are seeking to do more to cut carbon emissions and /or to engage local community members in their work to raise awareness of the climate crisis and the changes that we can make to reduce our carbon footprint.

Funding will be available to support at least four projects of up to £10,000 each in the coming year. Delegates will have the chance to ask questions and to vote on which projects they think will have the most impact on helping Cumbria to get to net zero by 2037.

More details about the shortlisted groups will be shared with delegates nearer the time. It is important to note that if your group is shortlisted, you, and anyone closely affiliated with your project will not be permitted to vote for your own proposal!

This is the second time we have utilised a participatory budgeting process which aims to give a more democratic result and will enable you to offer support to new projects in your area.
