From Petrol to Plug: Transitioning to an Electric Vehicle

We are on a mission to help unravel the world of electric vehicles and charge points for households in Cumbria. Together, we can help you decide whether an electric vehicle is right for you – either now or in the future.  

Our free event, supported by funding from Electricity North West, will explore the benefits, costs, options and myths surrounding EV technology, batteries and charging.  

Experts will outline why you might consider using an EV, compare battery and combustion costs and energy efficiency data, as well as detailing what you need to consider before deciding to lease or buy new or second hand.  

Hear about charging – at home (off-street and on-street), away from home, with a case study showcasing a “Day in the Life of an EV car driver in Cumbria” where lessons learnt and costs will be shared.  

Come along for a cuppa and a biscuit to listen, learn, discuss, and to ask our local expert panel any burning questions that are baffling or concerning you.

There is free parking at the venue. Free coffee, tea and biscuits will be available on arrival, and the cash bar will also be open.
