Electric Vehicles Made Easy
Electric Vehicles Made Easy supports Cumbrians transitioning to electric vehicles by addressing challenges and concerns, providing crucial information and guidance.
What we are doing
CAfS is the lead partner of Zero Carbon Cumbria, a partnership which has an ambition to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2037. A report commissioned by the partnership estimates that emissions from land-based transport need to be reduced by 93% by 2037. One of the ways we can work towards this target is by accelerating the take up of electric vehicles, but we know that there are challenges and comcerns around the information on the comparative new technology of EVs, including things like financial savings, range, charge points, infrastructure, and more.
To support individuals and communities across Cumbria in the transition to Electric Vehicles, we are running a new project Electric Vehicles Made Easy. We held a pilot event in Penrith, earlier this year and hosted a free webinar in October 2024. Watch this space for what’s happening next!
