This Saturday’s fixture against Bromley will mark Carlisle United’s dedicated Green Football Game, a special initiative brought to you in collaboration with us here at Cumbria Action for Sustainability (CAfS). The game is part of the Green Football campaign’s Great Save initiative, running from March 11 to April 2, with the goal (pardon the pun!) of bringing fans, clubs, and communities together to help combat the climate crisis and safeguard the future of football.

The Green Football Great Save Initiative

Each year, around 100,000 tonnes of sportswear ends up in UK landfills. But you can help change that! By donating, selling, or simply using your sports gear for longer, you could reduce its carbon, water, and waste footprint by up to 30%. The Great Save campaign encourages everyone to take action and keep their kit in play for longer.

Carlisle United is proud to support this important cause. Kit donation points will be available at:

  • East Stand Ticket Office
  • Blues Store (starting Wednesday)
  • Study Centre (open on matchday)

Score Green Goals with Every Donation

Each donation you make not only helps reduce waste but also supports Carlisle United’s quest for green goals in the 2025 Green Football Cup. You can also make a bigger impact by pledging to reduce your environmental footprint in other ways. It’s all about doing your part to protect the planet while supporting your team!

Don’t forget to tell Green Football you’ve donated your kit! Visit greenfootball.org or use the QR code at the donation sites to enter a prize draw. Amazing prizes include:

  • 12 months of free Sky Sports
  • Tickets to the Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Final
  • A signed 2023/24 Lionesses shirt
