What do people in Cumbria think about climate change?
That’s the question CAfS hopes to answer with our brand-new Cumbria Climate Survey. The survey closed on 30 November 2019.
There is a lot of national and international data about views on climate change, but we’d like to know how people in our county feel about it. How important is it to them? What do they think about different ways of tackling it?
The survey results will be hugely helpful to CAfS and potentially to a range of other organisations in Cumbria. The survey will give us a much better understanding, helping us to plan the support and services we offer, to best meet the needs of people in Cumbria.
It’s the first time CAfS has ever carried out county-wide research about attitudes to climate change, and we’re hugely looking forward to hearing what people in our county have to say. We hope to repeat the survey periodically, so that we can understand and respond to changes in views.
The Cumbria Climate Survey 2019 was open to everyone aged 18 years or over who lives, works or studies in Cumbria. We are now carrying out research with young people separately, in a way that’s tailored for them. Find out more >
Once we’ve gathered in all the paper surveys, we’ll do the £100 prize draw that we offered to everyone who submits a survey. See the prize draw rules.
Sharing the survey results
