CAfS commissioned research among businesses in South Lakeland to create a baseline of attitudes, awareness and current approaches to sustainability, climate change and business environmental impact. A £15,000 grant helped CAfS to produce bespoke solar mapping and carbon footprint tools which were piloted with small businesses and households in three distinct communities to help them maximise their collective potential to generate renewable energy.
