Nick joined the Cold to Cosy team in January 2023 as a contractor to assist in the delivery of its draughtproofing service for households in need.
Nick moved from Northumberland to Penrith in 2012, gaining experience in a range of practical works with the Lake District National Park. Examples of which include the building of timber, stone and steel bridges, erecting dry-stone walls and fences and smaller scale joinery.
Having spent most his life in old rural houses, Nick is no stranger to the hardship caused by damp and cold homes with expensive traditional heating systems. As a result, Nick has a keen interest in helping others to keep warm over the winter months, while reducing our impact on the environment.
You’ll often find Nick walking in the Lakeland fells, playing guitar, or fixing up his old Series 3 Land Rover!
