If you'd like to find out more about electric vehicles and what it's like to own one in Cumbria, come along to this free workshop in Kendal.

You'll have a chance to see at least one electric car and the owner will be on hand to tell you what it's like to use one.

You'll then hear from our guest speakers on a few different aspects of buying and owning an electric vehicle. Here's the programme for the evening:

5pm Arrivals and a chance to see electric vehicles and chat to the owners

5.45pm Introduction

5.50pm-6.10pm What you need to know about EVs : the technical, logistical and financial (speaker to be confirmed)

6.10pm-6.20pm Electric vehicles in Cumbria – the fun and the functional

  • Where to find Cumbria County Council charge points for EVs
  • How much EVs are being used in Cumbria
  • The Twizy project - where you can hire them to try out an EV
