SPECIAL OFFER: LAST-MINUTE PLACES JUST £30! (£15 DISCOUNT)

Book by midnight on Monday 3 September!

Learn how to make your own plastic-free products and more, at this workshop on re-wilding your home.

You’ll make and take away your own:

  • beeswax/soy wrap
  • cleaning products
  • natural fibre washcloths

Re-wilding the world starts with bringing the wild back into our homes! Join Wild Women for a fun day of activities, demos, and sharing of knowledge, with top tips on how to reduce plastic use in the home, create your own products, and nurture the planet.

You’ll try your hand at some simple ‘wild home’ solutions:

  • Kerry from Cotton On will teach you how to make your own beeswax/soy wrap – a fantastic alternative to cling film. Following a demonstration, you will then create one of your own to take away with you, to start you on your cling-film-free journey.
  • We have two guest experts to show you how to crochet your own natural fibre washcloths, to replace those plastic ones that shed micro plastics.
  • Bring some empty containers for the natural cleaning session, where experts will show you how to make all-natural, affordable cleaning products for your home.

Eco Cumbria will be on hand to show you a range of plastic-free products for the family and home.

At the end of the day, you will go away with your own hand-made wraps, washcloths and cleaning products, as well as loads of inspiration and information about re-wilding your home. You can also find out more about some fantastic local sustainable enterprises, and get a chance to sample and purchase a range of amazing products.

All adults are welcome at this hands-on workshop and the fee includes all materials, refreshments and the products to take home.

Please bring some lunch, and empty plastic or glass containers to use for the cleaning products workshop.

It’s part of the Cumbria Green Build Festival by Cumbria Action for Sustainability, and is run by Wild Women in partnership with Eco Cumbria and Cotton On.
