Come along to one of our two sessions to find out about Project Collette and give us your views.

This part community-owned offshore wind farm will bring hundreds of jobs to West Cumbria, generate enough electricity to power a million homes and create money-making opportunities for our community.

We are keen to hear from local residents, businesses, community groups and organisations, councillors and any one else who is interested in West Cumbria's economic development, community resilience and transition to green energy. Help us shape the proposal and maximise the benefits.

Session outline

•  an overview of the project from Ciara Shannon, co-founder and director of the Green Finance Community Hub, who are spearheading the project.
• an opportunity for you to ask your questions.
• opportunity to share your views on the project, how you would like to see it develop and how it could benefit the local community.

Details

• Teas and coffees will be provided on arrival.
• Doors open from 4:45pm for a 5pm start. The same event is also running at 2pm if that's more convenient for you - please book on via our other event listing.
• Whitehaven RFLC is a 5 minute walk from Whitehaven Town Centre and Albion Square. There is free car parking on site, but we'd encourage you to walk, cycle or get public transport if possible.
