Meet the apprentices working for West Cumbria Rivers Trust at the Walkmill Community Woodland project, with options for walks, talks, trying out activities, and networking with others from the local area with an interest in climate and nature.

West Cumbria Rivers Trust welcome members of the Westogether Climate Action Network (and anyone else who might be interested!) to an opportunity to find out more about the work of apprentices Monica, Sophie, Aaron and Jack, as well as understanding more about the recruitment and management of volunteers.

The event will start with a networking lunch and welcome from West Cumbria Rivers Trust; and then we will get out on site to find out more about hedge laying/ hedge planting; trial curly pond weed management; coppicing and chainsaw skills; mitigating deer damage; and visit the forest school area and the fixed point photography project.
