Everyone is welcome to come along to swap seeds, celebrate nature and local growing, find out about Zero Carbon Cumbria and learn new skills.

The event will bring together existing and potential members of the Westogether Network who would like to work together to raise awareness of climate change issues in local communities and encourage more local initiatives to tackle carbon emissions.

We will have a range of speakers from organisations such as Growing Well (who are establishing a new project at Egremont), Garden Organic Master Composters, Workington Nature Partnership, Groundwork Trust / Workington Green Hub and more.

We will use the opportunity to share learning on what works (and what doesn't work) when organising activities and plan for Earth Day (22nd April) and Great Big Green Week (8th – 16th June).

We will also catch up on Zero Carbon Cumbria plans on emissions reduction, and you can find out how you can have an input.

We will provide refreshments throughout the day, including a vegan lunch. It'd be great if you could bring seeds to swap, but of course this is optional.
