For the last nineteen years, Ashley has been travelling the world, documenting the impacts of climate change. His travels have taken him to over thirty countries and every continent on the planet. His passion for the subject is fuelled by the knowledge that climate change poses the greatest threat that humanity has ever faced.
Ashley’s work is published widely in newspapers, books, magazines and on TV around the world. In 2013, Ashley documented what was probably the first known incident of a polar bear starving to death directly as a result of climate change. The photograph was run as the lead, front page story in the Guardian newspaper.
This 1.5-hour slideshow and talk with Q&A is a fundraising event hosted by local climate action charity Cumbria Action for Sustainability (CAfS): tickets are priced at £9 (to allow CAFS to 'survive'), or (if you want to help CAFS 'thrive') you can choose to pay £15, and if you want to be really generous, and to receive a free copy of Ashley's book Images from a Warming Planet at the event, select the £25 ticket donation price.
