The event will bring together existing and potential members of the Cumbria Sustainability Network to discuss how we will continue to grow and develop our network, and promote social equity as we decarbonise our lives.

The event will ask delegates from across Cumbria to review what’s going well for the network and what could be better. We will look at how the Cumbria Sustainability Network should function in the short term (reflecting on the creation of the two new unitary authorities) and in the longer term (what happens when ZCCP Lottery funding comes to an end in 2025?).

Speakers will ask us to consider:

• How can we reach out to diverse audiences and ensure that communities across Cumbria are included ?
• How do we ensure that we can ‘think global, act local’ and build solidarity with people whose lives will be severely impacted by climate change in other countries?

And we will have the opportunity to input on the development of the ZCC sector group recommendations.

The event will take place all day and a vegetarian / vegan networking lunch will be provided.
