How do we optimise assessment to secure long-term policy commitments for Cumbria?

Webinar: Improving decarbonisation data aggregation & evaluation

A recent project between us here at Futureproof Cumbria and the University of Cumbria for Zero Carbon Cumbria has explored four of the most significant barriers to accelerating decarbonisation and identified practical steps that could help unblock them and enable scalable, long-term solutions. Using Jun Han and Sonal Shah’s (2020) Ecosystem of Scaling Social Impact framework, four briefing papers have been developed which each focus on a different dimension of the challenge: influencing policy and practice, improving data and evaluation, strengthening civil society action, and securing the funding and resources required for sustained progress.

In the second webinar explore how we can use the practical recommendations to get better data collection, integration, and evaluation in Cumbria to drive effective decision-making and accelerate Cumbria’s journey toward net zero. You can read the relevant paper here.

We’ll hear from invited guests about practical approaches to overcoming data challenges, first hand experience of the importance of evidence in shaping policy and prioritising local actions. Whether you’re a policymaker, sustainability professional, or community stakeholder, this webinar offers valuable insights into building a data-driven framework for climate action.

Speakers include: Small World Consulting and Greater Manchester Combined Authority.
