Power Up Your Home With Solar PV

This event will explore the costs, benefits and options of solar photovoltaic (PV) panels and storage batteries for your home in Carlisle and the surrounding area.

We will unpack concepts such as self-consumption, exporting back to the grid and smart tariffs, to help you decide whether solar PV is right for your home.

We'll have a panel of local vetted installers on hand, as well as a local householder that has benefitted from solar panels. They'll do their best to answer all your questions from "Do I go for in-roof, on-roof or on the ground panels?", "How big is a battery and inverter and where do I put it?" to "How long is the payback period?" and "Do I need planning permission?".

We’ll explain how we can support you with independent advice to help you determine the suitability of your home for solar PV and batteries. If you think it’s right for you, we can help you to get quotes and installations from local vetted solar PV companies.Click here to find out more about the service
