Climate Action Plans for Educational Settings
Climate Action Plans for Education Settings
Webinar Overview:
The Department for Education's guidance document 'Sustainability leadership and climate action plans in education' requires all schools, early years settings, multi-academy trusts, colleges and universities to have a sustainability lead and put in place a climate action plan by 2025.
As well as meeting the DfE target, having a Climate Action Plan will reduce your carbon footprint, decrease your energy costs, reduce your waste output and increase engagement with pupils, students, staff, parents and the wider community. This webinar, for existing and potential sustainability leads, the wider sustainability leadership team, headteachers and those with an interest in climate change, will give an introduction to sustainability practices, look at a 4 step approach to help you implement this within your setting and outline how you can start creating your Climate Action Plan.
