Join us for the next in our new series of themed Cumbria Climate Cafes.

Over a series of informal conversation events we'll explore challenges, barriers, opportunities and solutions in response to the climate crisis.

We'll hear from a wide range of guest speakers, with diverse expertise and perspectives on meeting the emission reduction challenge, both from within Cumbria and further afield.

We'll also feature topical examples of positive local actions to reduce emissions and increase environmental sustainability.

There'll be opportunities to post comments and questions, plus a chance to network with others across Cumbria also working to reduce their emissions.

So grab yourself a cuppa and join the conversation!

In this cafe we'll explore the high priority challenges and opportunities for effective action to rapidly cut our emissions. We'll also get the latest on Zero Carbon Cumbria Partnership's plans and actions, aimed at delivering on Cumbria's commitment of countywide net zero by 2037.

As part of our cafe conversation we're delighted to welcome Paul Allen from the Centre for Alternative Technology and Coordinator of the inspirational Zero Carbon Britain programme.

We're also very pleased to be joined by Jake Ainscough from Lancaster Environment Centre, an interdisciplinary environmental social scientist researching the role of public deliberation in responding to the climate emergency.
