Events

Over a series of informal conversation events we'll explore challenges, barriers, opportunities and solutions in response to the climate crisis.

We'll hear from a wide range of guest speakers, with diverse expertise and perspectives on meeting the emission reduction challenge, both from within Cumbria and further afield.

We'll also feature topical examples of positive local actions to reduce emissions and increase environmental sustainability.

There'll be opportunities to post comments and questions, plus a chance to network with others across Cumbria also working to reduce their emissions.

So grab yourself a cuppa and join the conversation!

In this first cafe we'll find out more about the compelling case for rapid emission reduction, the Zero Carbon Cumbria Partnership's ambitious commitment to reaching countywide net zero by 2037, and the practical challenges and opportunities this presents for Cumbria.

Our next cafe (26th Oct, 3pm) will then focus on acting on emission reduction.

Cost - This event is free to attend.

Venue - This event will be held via Zoom. Once you register, you'll receive a link to join the event. 

Recording - We may record the event to share online afterwards. By taking part in this event, you accept that your name/image/voice may appear in the recording. You can opt not to activate your webcam and microphone, and you can change how your name is displayed in the list of participants. Attendees' video feeds won't necessarily be on screen at any point during the webinar.
