Unit 2 of a 2-part course on windows and doors provides a technical understanding of high performance windows.

NOTE Starts at 6:00pm - there is a system generated problem with stated start times.

Understanding how to achieve optimal performance of windows and doors is critical to cost-effective retrofit. Green Building Store Directors Chris Herring & Bill Butcher will explore the technical performance of windows together with positioning and detailing in a low energy retrofit to optimise performance and airtightness. The webinar will draw upon case studies of Passivhaus and low energy projects that Green Building Store has worked on.  It will also include practical airtightness advice around window installation. Specific attention will be paid to the sequencing of window installations in retrofit projects, and positioning of windows within internal or external wall insulation strategies.
