Scaffolding goes up
Scaffolding goes up at the front of the house, ready for works to start on the roof.
1st fix electrics begins
Cabling gets under way, starting with the top two floors.
New stud walls go in
Timber frames for new stud walls go in upstairs, creating the rooms that will be the bedroom and bathroom, and the corridor leading to the stairs between the first floor and top floor.
Some internal walls removed
The new layout of the house comes into shape as some internal walls are taken down.
Ground floor dug out
The old concrete floor is dug out, making way for the new insulated limecrete floor to go in.
First open day
33a Chapel Street welcomes the public for a look around for the first time, during Heritage Open Weekend and as part of Cumbria Green Build Festival 2018.
