The draw is run solely by Cumbria Action for Sustainability (CAfS).
The free draw is open to anyone aged 18 years or over, from whom we receive a survey response and who opts to enter the draw.
You must provide an email address, postal address or phone number to be entered into the free draw. We will only use these to administer the draw. They will not be used for any other purpose.
If you fill in the survey online, only CAfS will process your data. If you fill in a paper copy care of one of CAfS’ survey partners, this partner will have access to your data only for the purposes of collecting it and forwarding it to CAfS. No organisation outside CAfS will have permission to use your personal data or contact you using any contact details you give.
The draw will be managed in line with CAfS’ privacy policy. See CAfS privacy policy
The opening date for entries is 10am on Saturday 21 September 2019 and the closing date is 10am on Saturday 30 November 2019. Surveys completed after the closing date (either on paper or online) will not be valid.
We accept no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault or malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind, nor for any paper surveys that are not returned to us by our survey partners for any reason.
A winner will be chosen by random draw. All eligible entries will be assigned a number, and the winning number will be chosen by a computerised number generator. This will take place as soon as possible after the closing date, once all paper surveys have been received from our survey partners, and no later than 31 December 2019.
The winner will receive £100 in cash.
The winner will be notified using the contact details provided, before 31 December 2019.
The winner may be invited to take part in publicity, but this is optional. The winner does not have to agree to publication of their name. If the winner chooses to remain anonymous, we will publish only the winner’s town, if this information is known to us.
If the winner does not respond to us within 14 days of being notified of the win then the winner’s prize will be forfeited and we will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.
The winner will be asked to choose how they wish to receive their prize, either:
- Collection in cash or as a cheque from the CAfS office in Penrith
- A cheque posted to the winner if a postal address is provided to us within 14 days of being notified of the win.
The prize for the winner is non-exchangeable and non-transferable.
Our decision regarding any aspect of the free draw is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into about it.
You are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these rules upon entry. We reserve the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these rules.
We reserve the right to hold void, cancel, suspend or amend the free draw/survey where it becomes necessary to do so.
Insofar as is permitted by law we will not be responsible for, or liable to compensate the winner for, or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury, or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by our negligence.
The free draw will be governed by English law and entrants to the free draw submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
