Hello,

This edition we're launching our new project, enabling communities to access support to develop renewable energy installations in their area. We've reopened our search for Climate Champions in the Copeland area, and we've got news of the presentation of our platinum Carbon Literacy award. There's still time to enter The Big Photo Challenge and a couple of weeks left to apply for our Youth Projects Coordinator role.

Our Low Carbon Communities team are excited to launch their Community Renewable Energy Support project. With three levels of support, £40,000 of expert advice and consultancy will help communities across the county install renewables in their area.

The team have produced a report which covers many considerations when working on a community renewable energy project. The research in the report has guided the programme of support now on offer.

Click on the button below to find out more about the support available, and book your place on the events to learn more.

Our search for Climate Champions in the Copeland area has reopened. This is a great volunteer opportunity if you're looking for more climate know-how to let you make a positive impact in your community. We're especially looking for parish councillors, who will be able to access special training to enable them to cascade information out within their own area, within the council itself, and influence further parish-level climate action.
