This friendly event is an opportunity to view the new Waste into Wellbeing premises in Kendal, and find out about how their project is progressing. We will hear from Alistair Kirkbride, transport consultant, and a key member of the team behind Staveley community e-bike hire who plans to lead a discussion on what a good sustainable transport network looks like and explore why is it so hard to get meaningful change in transport at community level.
There will also be opportunities for informal networking between new and existing CSN members to find out more about what everyone is up to, including current campaigns, events and activities. And space to look ahead and debate how the new government will influence future developments, including next steps for the Sustainability Network.
