Eco-Retrofit for Construction Professionals Unit 2: Taking Airtightness Seriously

If you renovate houses, find out about the latest building materials and ways to go about retrofitting, with our FREE online talks. In just a couple of hours in the evening, you can update your knowledge and give your customers the best possible result - a warm, dry home they'll love living in!

Whether you're a builder, an architect or have another job in construction, these sessions are designed especially for you.

In this second session in our series of five talks, you'll find out why it's so important to get airtightness right in a house, and how to go about it.

We'll talk about:

  • Recognising common air-leakage points in buildings
  • How to measure airtightness
  • Which products are available to help achieve high levels of airtightness
  • How to minimise common air-leakage problems
  • Where ventilation is necessary and how to balance it with heat loss (more on this in Unit 5)

This course is delivered by Nick Parsons on behalf of Carbon Coop and hosted by Tina Holt from CAfS.

You can book onto all other sessions in this series, or pick and choose which ones you are interested in:

Eco-Retrofit for Construction Professionals Unit 1: Eco-Retrofit - Why and How
